About Erena
Erena was born from a century of leather knowledge and from the women who were never named in its story.
Our family has worked with leather since 1926, building a leather house in southern Brazil grounded in craftsmanship, material respect, and long term thinking. Generations of men carried the business forward publicly. The women behind them remained largely invisible, despite being essential to its existence.
Erena is our way of changing that narrative.
Named after Erena, our founder’s grandmother, whose name was rarely spoken, the brand exists to create objects that reflect a different kind of presence: women who move through the world visibly, intentionally, and on their own terms.
We design for women in motion. Women who work, travel, create, lead, build families, and occupy space without shrinking themselves into neutrality.
Our pieces are functional, but never anonymous.
Every Erena object begins with the material itself. Because we come from leather making and we approach craftsmanship differently. We work with vegetable tanned leather, maintain close control over the process, and design with longevity in mind: pieces meant to soften, evolve, and remain relevant over time.
Designed in New York. Rooted in a 100 year old family leather house. Crafted with an enduring respect for material, form, and movement.
Erena is not about blending in.
It is about creating your own orbit.
The first ERENA collection is coming.
